It's no longer a place for Apple users to get apps, instead, they would have to rely on the iOS App Store.

That means iTunes no longer contains any options for syncing apps or ringtones to your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. And other changes include, Internet Radio has been added to Music section whereas iTunes U collections have been moved to the Podcasts section.

To avoid bricking an iPhone or iPad due to unfinished software updates, it is always best to plug in the device while installing the update.

Just like the previous major iOS updates, you will be able to install the iOS 11 update on your iPhone or iPad wirelessly by downloading the OTA update directly on the device.

The Messages app is also being given an update, with a redesign to the app's draw, allowing easier access to stickers, GIFs and more. Unlike previous iterations, the new App Store for iOS 11 devices will be more editorial than before and focuses on having users discover new and popular apps.

With the iTunes version 12.7 update, Apple has removed the built-in App Store and the Ringtones section from app.

Books on Windows: Books on iTunes for Windows are managed in iBooks for iOS.

When opening iTunes 12.7 for the first time, users will be greeted by an update prompt from Apple.

Native translation is also coming to Siri in iOS 11, which will support English to Chinese, French, German, Italian and Spanish at launch.
